John E & Fishy1
Well a day’s beach fishing, arranged through the North East Angling forum, started in the early hours of the morning 19th February. Both parties packing vehicles with what would be necessary for that day. Arriving from Leicestershire, John E, Steve Woods and Fishy1, from Scunthorpe Lincolnshire, at Tunstall on the East Yorkshire, Holderness Coast. The day started with introductions and hand shakes, then the setting up of kit. The sea looked promising so all with great expectations proceeded to the waters edge, then casting to the horizon.
Talks started with past experiences and thoughts of piscatorial specimens that were going to be caught on the day. As the day moved on nothing was coming ashore, tactics and rigs were changed to no avail. John E noticed how far Fishy1 was casting, So to improve his distances, John E took a few lessons from Fishy1.
Well the answer was to try a new style on the day, didn’t work; this new style would have to be worked on at a later date.
As the day was coming to a close Steve Woods pulled in a Dab, then proceeded to pull in 3 Rockling and one Whiting.
John E and Fishy1 managed to Blank but their meeting and fishing from 8am till 5pm was a great success and will be arranging future shore fishing ventures together.
